Looks cool.

We just finished an epic three week long 4-player game of Carcassonne. Superb fun if a little slow at times with the NZ/UK timezone busines. I was rather surprised and pleased to win that one - after thinking I was well down the pecking order. Great great iphone game.

Epic is right, shame that the people in same time zones were split, ie it went NZ/UK/NZ/UK, think the game would have finished faster if NZ/NZ/UK/UK and didn't help I went to Glasto for five days right the middle of it. Very fragmented board in that one, but still fun, esp poaching cities off each other.

Tilt to Live has had an update - a new weapon and a new game mode. Definitely one of the best games on the iphone/touch IMNSHO.

Carcassonne has had an update:

What's New In Version 1.2

Here are a few new features and bug fixes we found while we're working on the iPad version.

NEW FEATURES:

- New "It's your turn somewhere else" indicator makes playing multiple games at once easier.
- Gameplay tweaks for better scrolling, last tile and status visibility
- Added some additional assets for Retina Displays
- Optional in-game clock, so you don't miss the bus

FIXES:

- Improved application badge behaviour
- Much better local network connectivity for Bluetooth and WiFi games
- Improved stability
- Better handling of and bug fixes for iOS 4 multitasking
- Made online games more stable
- Fixed a few animation and display glitches
- Better account status migration

Lots of great Carcassonne games continue between Kryten, Monza and myself.

I bet it looks great on the Retina display on the iphone 4. Me I'm waiting for the ipad version - should be awesome!

nice little tweaks to an already very polished game. Looking forward to the expansions.

Going slightly off topic to real board games, recently bought Ticket to Ride : Europe, had a five player game last night, awesome game.

Ticket to Ride is a great game no doubt about it. A couple of other recommendations:

- Carcassonne - Hunters and Gatherers - plays slightly faster than normal Carcassonne and is my favourite version.

- The Downfall of Pompei - always fun throwing little dudes into the volcano.

I want to like it, but after a few quick goes I can't get used to the controls...

Saw this game called "Flight control", looks pretty cool. I don't have a platform that can play it though :(.

The youtube I linked to is the newer "HD" version, I think for ipad, has multiple levels and multiplayer etc.
Apparently it is also being made for PS3 and the new "PS move".

Quite an ingenious idea for a touch screen game I thought. Plus I love the cute graphics.

The iphone version is a great wee game - and the ipad version builds on the gameplay using all the extra screen real-estate.

Remember though - it plays like an old school arcade game getting harder and harder and faster and faster so you WILL lose. :)
