ANZAC 2016 run up challange

Postby Woody01 » Sun Mar 27, 2016 9:55 pm

Phas3e and I have agreed to do a bit of a mission 'build off', strike missions one each in the weeks leading up to ANZAC day which Phas3e has built for us this year.

So next week Phas3e is leading a strike on one of my built missions then the next week I will lead one of his builds.

Its just a dabble, just a bit of fun to get us squared away unit wise for the ANZAC mission that is for us so customary.

Heads up guys, battle is on, we only have a month to prepare.

ANZAC mission 2016, The fall of Singapore 1942. Its just us I think...

Got my 3 ideas

1. Battle of Britain port strike with Swordfish (which you have)
2. 1942 Tip and run raid on English Coast by Fw190s
3. 1952 Panther Strike (optional skyraiders for slower but heavier loads) of a power station in North Korea.

Ok, bit off more than I can chew

But Ill put up Operation Jericho.
Battle of the Bismarck sea prelude.
And Battle of the Bismarck sea.

Only thing is we only have 4 slots before the ANZAC day mission. So 2 of Phas3es and 2 of mine, at least its a good way to fly new maps in an operational build up phase.
Come ANZAC day those Japs wont know what hit em!

An excellent sounding plan, can't wait to try it. On a ferry back from a few days away on Gt Barrier, so although I might be a little late tonight I'll definitely be there!

I have the prelude to the battle of the Bismarck sea done, basically hitting all the dig in Japanese army units to the North of the Owen Stanley's, many villages and river banks swarming with enemy infantry and equipment. Heading in from Port Moresby with 4 AI strike flights to hit one particular area hard.

Warmup from 20:30, hoping to get the mission on quickly, as soon as we have the peeps ;)

Great stuff guys _b

Of all the target areas that were there we actually did enormous damage across the whole area. Very satisfying :D

Test flying the next strike mission and had a blast.

Out bound from The North Korean capital while MiGs and Sabres duel over head, I got tangled up with a couple of MiG15s but lost them by diving to the deck.

RIghto here goes

Theres 2 different versions of this mission with rough and calm weather, the aircraft are a handfull to taxi to the catapults in the rough weather version so some people might not enjoy that one.

The 'recon photos' are to help with planning of the mission
