No problem I will give it a go, hopefully I won't get pounced on by a radar driven wonder woman too often..

I never had any room on my stick to add all the views/padlocking so I'll fly in the cockpit anyway :)

Yeah, it was great to fly the fjords once more - not too hard to find enemy, either AI or "intelligent" (I use the term advisedly). Flight time was appropriate, considering there were bombers involved, but even so, you usually didn't have to wait longer than 10 minutes before you found some action. The terrain was great; I enjoyed both "hedge-hopping" in the fjords and "stratosphere-ing" in bombers. Even though you set the fire rate high for blue AAA defences, EC, I managed to complete bombing raids with little or no major damage - that came in larger measure from Will, Chomp, et al :D Nice work, guys.
Overall, a great map, thanks EC. Setting up UP today, so will be interesting to see how well that goes :P

Will try and make it along, but have a guest here and we're celebrating National Roast Day (yep, bet you didn't know there actually was one!) so might be late at best. Enjoy!

I'm going to try and make it along this weekend fellas (presuming I'm still welcome  ) I may not be able to be there all the time if bubs has a meltdown which is more than likely as she has been quite crook for the last couple of weeks but Ill give it a go.
Depending on what EC has planned I have a nice map for UP2.1 all worked out that I think will be quite fun, based around the Spring 1944 deception plan to trick the Nazis the invasion would be at Calais.
Not sure what setting you guys are running now but is it old school Friday, Full Switch Sunday?
Anyway will try my best to attend, oh also, moved to TS3 I presume?

Be like old times if ya make it Woody _b I still have "old" version, as well as "newer" one; I think EC's aiming for this to be our last weekend on "older", then change to newer one on Black Friday. Hope your daughter is better.

Sounds good Woody _b

Didn't have anything in particular planned for this weekend. I was going to just rerun a couple of previous maps in HSFX so if you are able to inject something new, go for it. UP or HSFX doesn't matter as to date most players have changed over already.

Smokey Joe has offered the use of the KAW server for the weekends once we are all on UP2.01 so I've been getting my head around how all that's going to work. Have to change existing HSFX maps over to UP as well as adjusting them to suit DS etc etc. Could work really well if it all comes off.

I've chucked in 4 of map that I was running on HSFX and converted to UP to test on the server and to have for standby if they work well. But new maps is probably the way to go. About to embark on a few shorter COOP style map that should work a treat if I can orgainise all the ideas that are floating round in my head. The feedback from the Fiords map I made for Baddog has given me plenty to think about. The server is based in Wellington and the first thing I noticed is the really low pings so should add some stability.

Anyway, I'm hoping by the end of the next couple of weeks everyone will be on the same page. But who knows :?: :?: :?:

Yeah thanks EC it was what I was asking for for sure, but in saying that I got my arse completely kicked by AA fire I dont think I made it safely back once. I hope most people agree that a mix of missions, coops with views to dogfights full switch keeps it fun and interesting as opposed to a full time full switch dogfight server of which there are plenty of others out there...

I had noticed a lack of feedback from our Aussie friends since we kicked their arse a couple of months ago I guess that says something or maybe not....

I was in the process of downloading UP but my bandwidth got stolen by kids on Youtube so will need another week or so to sort that out unless Raha gets me that CD cheers in advance mate...

Will try and get up Friday as long as its HSFX am home alone with George this weekend so we will see....

Ive got a couple of HSFX maps that we never tryed so maybe it would be a good HSFX send off for this weekend?

Lampedusa, the last stand of the Axis held island in the Med should be fun, Italian late war fighters vs RN and if you can handle the distance land based bombers and fighters. Not a big object count map so it should be really smooth.
And maybe a couple of COOPS? See how it pans out I guess.
Prolly better to go back to classic TFK settings so everyone can enjoy it and maybe full switch for Sunday?

Could go straight to UP2.01 as well if all are ready, Ive been solely building maps in that version for a while now so there is lots of options if need be :D

just a note, between mds versions that HSFX contains(1.01) vs 113 in UP there is alot of parameters that have been changed in the mission file.

When transferring maps from one to other it pays to open and reset each setting on bases and mds settings. pain i know, but you can get oddities and settings which dont make sense otherwise. this will be the same if MDS1.2 makes it soon.

oh and we have one of Evils first maps on the DS server, WinterFiords, I have made 2 options, with default difficulties as we normally run and a Full difficulty option. This can be play tested when ever you are ready Evil, you have the admin control to load them when ever.
I advise initial play with default settings so as to check out your map as it plays.

Even this weekend if everyone has UP201 by then.
