If you're being tricky, then the plane is a C-130. The chute is from the cargo pallet. Cos you didn't say the plane was coming in to land.

Actually I DID say its coming into land (its coming in to land and its already streamed the chute.). It looks to be at least 50 - 100 feet up in the photo!!

and so far youre all WRONG!!! ahahahahaah

btw there is a 'tiny' piece of the plane actually in the pic which under EXTREME magnification might help.

but I must say youre all on the right track country wise....

Sorry, I meant to put emphasis on the word "plane". The "its" was ambiguous to me in my mood *puts on tin foil hat*

So, Avro Arrow then?

[edit] not an arrow, a B47

Just on the off chance of you pulling a trick here, is it a Tu-134 airliner, I know they've occasionally used landing chutes before?

Heh. Well, old pic, and you said "at least 50-100ft up" so it had to deploy before being on the runway, and that seemed to fit.

Ahahahah famin's (tin-)foiled again! Sorry dude I dunno what you can do about this. I mean, any smaller on the pics and there won't be anything there!

(That one barely lasted 2 hours - "well done chaps" ;))
